The Altana Townhome Project Ready for Tenants

Eduardo Sanchez Borja hired Grinder Haizlip Construction to construct his Memphis MidTown three-story project that includes multiple retail spots and seven residential spaces. Eduardo is bringing old properties back to life one building at a time. Designed by PKM Architects, the project included demolition of a dilapidated building and completion of a three-story stick framed building.

150 Madison Residence and The Crazy Gander Coffee Company

Converting and renovating an almost 100 year old downtown building into a business/residence is always a challenge. UrbanArch took the owner’s vision, created a wonderful design and Grinder Haizlip completed the construction for The Crazy Gander Coffee Shop and Crow Residence.

Moore Tech Automotive School is Open for Classes

The Greater Memphis Area Automotive Dealer Association selected Grinder Haizlip to construct the new Moore Tech Automotive School. In a rare partnership with Moore Tech, GMADA renovated the old AutoNation Honda dealership into a state of the art automotive training facility to teach students everything they will need to work at any GMADA member car dealership. The 30,000 sq ft building was fully renovated with new roofing, electrical, HVAC (including service area), new classrooms, kitchen, service bays, parking lot with lights and administration offices. Grand Opening - September 18, 2019.

Keras Subaru Open for Business

Keras Subaru is now Open for Business. The look of today’s auto dealerships are much different than 20-30 years ago. This will be Keras’ second Subaru location. The 27,400 sq ft building is located on a 6.3 acre site. Keras Subaru has full service with 16 service bays, three detail bays, a car wash, sales and finance areas. A2H was the architect of record.

New CarMax Opens in Memphis

Grinder Haizlip was selected to construct the new CarMax Auto Dealership at the old Polo Fields on Germantown Road. The project included a 10 acre site, a 6500 sq ft building with sales and service, and a fuel system. Even with a record rainfall during construction, GHC completed in 154 days to meet client’s schedule. Happy client. Happy subcontractors.

Forklift ETC Moves into New Space

Forklift ETC called us to help them renovate a tired building into their new headquarters. We developed a renovation plan that met their needs and budget. The owner stated

New Showroom

Full Renovation of AutoNation Ford on Hwy 64 Completed

Renovation of this existing dealership included adding a bay across the front of the building; replacement of all finishes, roofing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, millwork, and restrooms; upgrading service with air conditioning, new lights, epoxy flooring, and overhead doors; demolition of used car building, addition of landscaping and repaving/relighting the entire parking lot; plus addition of a new car wash building. All of this work was completed while AutoNation conducted sales, service and business operations.

Methodist North Hospital Entrance & Lobby Open to Public

Proud to be part of the major renovations to the entrance and lobby of Methodist North Hospital.  The cantilevered canopy with almost 100 glass panels provides the patient dropoff/pickup area protection from weather.  The sitework modifications created a more efficient way for patients to enter the hospital.  The lobby provides a very inviting atmosphere with local art, reception area, and seating area.  Tim Garret with Belz Architecture created this vision for Methodist LeBonheur.
